Many companies make claims about creating a hair serum with the best essential oils or the latest ingredient.
How can you know if a serum is going to work or not?
How can you tell if it's been formulated with the best research?
After spending years trying out many serums and interviewing women with hair thinning, we have uncovered some key tips to keep in mind before your purchase your next hair growth serum.
1. Is there Solid Science Behind The Serum Ingredients?
Many websites sell different hair oils such as castor, argan or a blend of essential oils for hair growth.
Other websites claim to sell serums that have secret "newly discovered" stem cells or other super ingredients from an exotic location.
Many others sell you on their serum's star ingredients such as biotin, cannabis, curcumin or ashwagandha.
You don't have the time to read the research to know what works and what doesn't.
Most of the above ingredients actually have NO proof when it comes to regrowing hair.
Instead, we encourage you to use serums with proven ingredients such as copper tripeptides, caffeine, adenosine, melatonin, methyl nicotinate, methyl vanillate and melatonin.
These ingredients are each backed by multiple scientific studies.
They are all included in our Enhance hair growth serum.
2. Can You Use The Serum Consistently?
The problem with serums that contain essential oils, castor oils or an oil base is that it's a lot of work to apply the oils everyday.
It's hard to leave the house with an oily scalp. It's messy to go to bed with oil dripping down your ears..
You will need to wash your hair with a shampoo to get rid of the oils.
Since most people do not like to wash their hair everyday, this reduces compliance and they end up using the oils only 1-2 times per week.
The solution is to use a lightweight serum which dries off completely in a few hours, leaving you with the option to wash your hair every few days.
Our Enhance hair serum is formulated to be non-oily, water-based and dries off completely in just a few hours.
3. Is The Serum Natural And Free Of Chemicals?
Many companies sell you products that contain SLS, parabens, benzoates and phthlates.
Many of these products are banned in Europe because they are deemed harmful. Most of the chemicals listed above are hormone disruptors, carcinogens or obesogens (cause obesity).
Make sure any product you purchase for your beauty supplies does not contain any of the above dangerous chemicals.
Our Enhance hair serum is 100% natural and free of these harmful chemicals.
4. Who's The Team Behind The Serum? Did They Actually Suffer From Hair Thinning?
Hair loss is an emotional topic. We have all tried many products that didn't work, causing even more anxiety and frustration in the process.
Wouldn't you like to know who you are purchasing your hair growth products from?
Too many companies hire a beauty-product-focused chemist to create a formulation for a hair serum.
The chemist usually has no background in hair loss and doesn't have the time to devote hundreds and hundreds of hours looking into the scientific research.
Wouldn't it be comforting to know that the founders struggled with hair loss themselves and they found a solution that actually works?
Our founder struggled with the anxiety and shame of hair loss for 18 years. He constantly thought he was going to lose all his hair, but he was able to save it thanks to the system he developed with our team.
5. Is There Enough Quantity To Last You A Month?
Many companies treat hair serums like a face serum, where a little goes a long way.
But that's the wrong approach for hair.
First of all, your hair absorbs part of the serum and all of it does not get to the scalp.
Secondly. your scalp needs sufficient coverage to reverse hair loss.
A serum that contains 30ml or 1oz of product is not nearly enough to last you one month.
We recommend buying a serum that has 50 ml or more of product.
This will ensure you have enough serum to last you the entire month.
Our Enhance hair serum contains 50 ml.
Hair regrowth takes time. It's incredibly stressful for consumers to purchase expensive and try poorly formulated hair serums only to be disappointed after 3-4 months.
Make sure any serum your purchase checks off the criteria above.
Next, be consistent for 2-3 months. If you are using a well formulated serum, you should start to see big changes in month 2.
